The Typical Situation
Most customers arrive here because their vehicle has developed an AdBlue or SCR system fault. The range of situations varies from an initial warning light through to engine derate, speed restriction, and — on Euro 6 trucks — a restart countdown that will prevent the vehicle from restarting.
- AdBlue warning light or emissions warning
- NOx sensor or SCR catalyst fault codes
- Reduced power / limp mode / speed restriction
- Engine derate or torque limitation
- Restart countdown — starts reducing
- Vehicle will not restart
Diagnosis First
Before any programming work is carried out, the vehicle needs proper diagnosis. AdBlue and SCR systems are complex — the same symptom can have many different root causes. We use genuine dealer-level diagnostic equipment for each manufacturer to identify the actual fault before deciding on the appropriate course of action.
For detailed information about AdBlue system faults, what each fault type means, and what the diagnostic process involves, see our dedicated AdBlue problems guide.

Diagnosis comes first. Any next step depends on the exact vehicle, its intended application, ECU compatibility and applicable road-use requirements.
